Care Pathway Guide

Counselling vs. Coaching: Choosing the Right Care Path

🌿 Take Clinical Triage →

At Mental Health Change, our care pathways are tailored to meet you where you are. While both provide confidential, 1-on-1 expert guidance, they serve different psychological and developmental goals:

🩺

Clinical Counselling

Therapeutic & Restorative Care

Counselling is an evidence-based clinical discipline provided by accredited therapists and counsellors (IACP, BACP, PSI, UKCP). It focuses on healing psychological distress and processing deeper emotional challenges.

Recommended When You Experience:
  • Persistent low mood, sadness, or depression
  • Clinical anxiety, panic, or overwhelming worry
  • Grief, bereavement, or traumatic life events
  • Significant relationship breakdown or emotional distress
🎯

Professional & Personal Coaching

Forward-Looking & Goal-Oriented

Coaching is a proactive, development-focused partnership with certified coaches (ICF). It helps clients unlock personal and professional potential, manage workloads, and establish sustainable healthy habits.

Recommended When You Want To:
  • Manage workload, prevent burnout, and improve work-life balance
  • Navigate career transitions or workplace promotions
  • Build confidence, communication skills, and leadership
  • Set actionable personal, wellness, and financial goals
Unsure where to begin? Our 2-minute clinical checkup measures your wellbeing (WHO-5, PHQ, GAD) and automatically matches you with the ideal specialist.
